Alcohol and Drug Help
An addict does not have to hit rock bottom in order to begin recovery
Does someone you love have a problem? Are you concerned or worried that his or her drinking or drug-taking has gotten out of control? Are they missing work, or unable to sustain employment? Has their relationships and family life become dysfunctional? Do you miss the person you once knew and loved?
At Alcohol and Drug Help we understand the sensitive and destructive nature of addiction and recognise it is a difficult issue to address when you suspect a loved one or employee is on a downward spiral. You may have tried to confront the alcoholic or addict, only to encounter a wall of aggression, avoidance or blatant refusal to acknowledge that something is wrong.
Our caring and experienced staff will tell you that an intervention is a proven way to confront addicted people about the disease and to get them the help they need.
We recognise that you have the power to intervene and will answer any questions that may arise.
Questions may include:
- What if he/she finds out I’ve come here? Am I betraying them?
- What if they get angry or upset?
- What if he/she refuses to speak to me again?
- What if he/she doesn’t accept this help?
- What if it doesn’t work?
Alcohol and Drug Help was established to provide a rare service for the community: structured intervention, treatment coordination, community forums, educational presentations and family workshops
We have seen thousands of cases over the years, where problems with alcohol and drugs when left untreated lead to financial crisis, relationship estrangement, and even death. At Alcohol and Drug Help we acknowledge the complex nature of addiction and recognise that there is no simple answer. We remain committed to providing solutions for the best outcomes working worldwide when necessary.
Addiction is a progressive disease left unattended it will only get worse.
